He is my master anime review

September 6th 2008 10:47
He is my master (also known as Kore ga watashi no goshujin-sama in Japanese) is an anime adapted from the manga by Asu Tsubaki and Mattsuu. This anime consists of 12 episodes altogether.

Genres: action, comedy, romance

Synopsis: Yoshitaka Nakabayashi, a 14-year-old millionaire who got this huge inheritance after his parents died in an accident, found himself needed to be taken care of and tried to hire live-in maids to do the job. Two runaway girls, Izumi Sawatari and her younger sister Mitsuki, stumped into Nakabayashi's mansion and got hired by Yoshitaka immediately, for Yoshitaka is not only a rich boy but also a pervert with uniform fetishes, who wants to be addressed as goshujin-sama (master). Having nowhere else to settle down along with Mitsuki's pet alligator Pochi, Izumi accepted the job reluctantly.

Comment: Okay, from the image above, you can guess what sort of anime is this. This anime has a lot of crazy stuff that I think it's definitely not suitable for kids to watch. Not just that, this anime also has a lot erotic stuff so if you don't like this kind of anime, so avoid watching it in the first place. As the storyline concerned, I'm not sure whether it follows the storyline in the manga or not. I only read the manga half way through but as far as I've seen, some of the stories are not included in the anime. Feel free to correct me if I were wrong. You can read the manga if you're not satisfied with the anime version or if you prefer the uncensored part.

Comment: I must say that this anime is full of adult contents and definitely is not for kids to watch. This anime doesn't just focus on human desire to satisfy themselves, but it also focus on the politic aspect. The storyline is very deep focusing on the two things that I've mentioned just now. There are violence involved as the story progress in order to hunt Kagura and Saiga which is I find it very disturbing especially for the kids. Overall, I find the story and theme is quite impressive so if you don't mind with what I said about this anime, feel free to give this anime a try. This is one of the anime that I find it worth a watch despite of its contents.

Zoku Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (also known as So Long Mr. Despair Extreme in English) is the sequel of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. This anime consists of 13 episodes altogether.

Genres: comedy, drama, slice of life

Themes: parody, school

Age rating: Teenagers (May contain bloody violence, bad language, nudity)

Synopsis: More crazy antics abound as Nozomu Itoshiki, a.k.a Zetsubo-sensei, who is the worlds most negative person, tries to teach class 2-H about how life is filled with despair and darkness. A harder task than it first may seem, with his students being far from ordinary themselves, including the likes of the most positive girl he has ever met, his very own stalker, a foreign exchange student with split personalities and a perfectionist acting class president, due to the fact the real class president can't be seen by anyone, among others.

Comment: Since Anime News Network didn't really give a proper summary of the story, let me tell you a bit about the first episode. The story begins with Itoshiki Nozomu as a pyramid scheme seminar salesman who was chased by a bunch of bizarre religion people. So watch the whole episode and you realize that there's no story about those bizarre religion people in the second episode. It's the same thing like the first season where the story begins when Itoshiki Nozomu wants to commit suicide and the story just simply goes offside. So, if you're expecting a proper storyline for the second season, you really are absolutely wrong. Watching the whole episodes, I realize that the story is getting more random and I don't get what is the episodes all about most of the times. At the end of the day, I forgot what's the story is all about because every episodes talk about random stuff. Don't watch this anime if you don't like something random and totally meaningless. This anime is suitable for anybody who loves random stuff and highly not recommended for kids because there's a little a bit of nudity involved (as the age rating indicated here).
