07 Ghost is an anime adapted from the manga by Yuki Amemiya and Yukino Ichihara. Currently, there are 13 episodes on air altogether.

Synopsis: Set in a gothic fantasy world, this is the story of Teito Klein, an orphaned slave who became the top military academy student. However, an unexpected turn of events left him pursued by the forces of the Barsburg Empire. Now an escaping convict, Teito's sheltered by the church and it’s law of sanctuary. Here, he discovered many mysteries surrounding himself, the church, and the Empire itself. The fact that he might be connected to a dethroned king and the mystical stone of god, 'The Eye of Mikhael' made him the target of the empire more than ever. Fortunately the church is under the mythical 7 Ghost protection. But who are the Ghosts really. Will Teito be free from the military's clutch, And what of his said mission to uncover the history. And who is the military's Chief-of-Staff Ayanami exactly. Teito's future seems to have spiraled into an unexpectedly perilous path.

I'm watching this anime because of my friend's recommendation. She said it's a great story because she reads the manga. So yeah, I would watch whatever anime that my friend recommends. Let's just leave that aside, shall we? Let's start with the storyline first. At first, the storyline is a bit shrouded at first because we don't really know much about who exactly is Teito Klein other than he's a slave before he enrolled in school. All I can say is you may not understand much about the whole plot and whatever conspiracy they have during the first episode.
As I watch this anime even more, the plot is getting even more complicated where each and every episode seems to reveal another mystery. It does answer some of the mysteries in the first few episodes but there are another mysteries when the first few mysteries have been resolved. The overall plot is exciting but I didn't really grasp the whole mysteries in this anime. You may love this anime if you like watching anime with complicated storyline. Honestly, I do love watching this anime but sometimes I was lost about certain things for this anime.
If you read the synopsis, you'll notice that the anime seems to have a tense storyline. It's true to some extend but there are certain episodes that a bit laid-back. Of course, there will always be enemies attacking them considering Ayanami knows Teito's whereabout.
Speaking of the character design, there is nothing special about the character designs other than it's the typical shonen anime style. Therefore, you shouldn't expect anything bizarre or extraordinary when it comes to the character design.
Overall, the storyline is great but it may confuse you at first and it takes time for you to grasp the whole idea what is really going on. Besides that, I feel that this kind of storyline is typical and we can guess how it ends. However, I still want to know how it will end like that. This is true for this kind of anime. This is one of a must-watch anime but this is solely for people who love watching anime with twisted plot.
