Darker Than Black - Gaiden is the OVA of the anime Darker Than Black. You can read Darker Than Black review here and the second season of the anime, Darker Than BLACK - Ryuusei no Gemini review here.

I need to clarify a few things before the review. I only watched until Episode 2 because there are only 2 subbed episode when I'm writing this review. So this review is rather short and only until Episode 2.
Too bad you can only watch this OVA if you buy Darker Than BLACK - Ryuusei no Gemini DVD. Even though this OVA has only 4 episodes, it is best to watch the OVA because the OVA will explain the confusion we had in Ryuusei no Gemini.
Since I only watched 2 episodes, it didn't really tell much but both of these episodes clearly indicate that Yin does possess some sort of another being where they refer to Izanami in Ryuusei no Gemini. If you have watched Ryuusei no Gemini, it wouldn't be so hard to pick up the affair that Hei and Yin have faced.
To be honest, the OVA isn't as exciting as Ryuusei no Gemini but the OVA itself serve as a platform for you to understand the storyline better. So again, if you have watched Ryuusei no Gemini, this OVA is a must-watch.
