Fate/Stay Night is an adaption from the game created by Type-Moon. The anime consists of 24 episodes.
Genre: action, drama, fantasy, romance, supernatural
Age rating: Teenagers (May contain bloody violence, bad language, nudity)
Synopsis: Shirou Emiya lost his parents in a fire when he was young and was later adopted by a sorceror by the name of Kiritsugu Emiya. Although he was full of admiration for his adopted father and yearns to become an ally of justice, Shirou has limited powers and was unable to become a strong sorceror like his father. That is until one fateful day, he was drawn into the Holy Grail War and had to summon a female "Servant" known as Saber in order to protect himself. It turns out that the Holy Grail War involves a series of battles among powerful sorcerors to fight for the possession of a relic that will grant one's wishes, the Holy Grail. There are altogether seven "Masters" who can summon their respective "Servants" from different classes known as Saber, Archer, Rider, Berserker, Lancer, Caster and Assasin. These "Servants" have to hide their names in order not to reveal their weaknesses to the enemies. The story revolves around Shirou and his entanglement in the Holy Grail War.

Comment: This anime is truly an addiction!! What I really like is the storyline even though Saber (the strongest servant) appears quite late(she appeared in the 2nd episode). So, I find the storyline a bit slow but that's how the story should be. I'm not really sure whether the story line really follows the game's storyline so I can't guarantee if the certain parts in the game are not included for the anime version. There are quite a lot of terms in this anime so you really have to understand the terms as these terms will be used throughout the anime. Don't worry so much about the terms because the same terms will keep on repeating. The most important thing is to understand the terms. The storyline isn't that hard to understand but bear in mind that some of the scenes are very violent. It will becomes intense as the story progressed but there is always humor to fill in the tension. The romance element isn't that much so if you're expecting a lot of romance in this anime, think again. If you don't like romance, fear not because it's not like passionate romance. You may hate Emiya Shirou at first because he's useless and stubborn but he'll changed as the story progress. Overall, this anime is a must watch if you never watch this anime before. This anime will definitely satisfy you with great storyline filled with action and great character designs that will never make you feel bored.
