Full Metal Panic! anime review

January 7th 2009 11:00
Full Metal Panic! is an anime adapted from the manga by Shoji Gatoh. The anime consists of 24 episodes altogether.

Genres: action, comedy, drama, science fiction

Themes: Mecha, Military, Real Robot

Age rating: Teenagers (May contain bloody violence, bad language, nudity)

Synopsis: Sousuke Sagara, a seventeen year old military specialist working for the secret organization MITHRIL, has been assigned to protect the latest "Whispered" candidate Kaname Chidori. To complete this task Sousuke will have to deal with enemies from his past as well as the occasional panty thief. Unfortunately for Sousuke, the toughest part of his mission isn't only protecting Miss Chidori but also getting used to living an average High School students life, no easy task for someone raised on the battlefield.

Comments: I've been wanting to watch Full Metal Panic! ever since my friend recommended this anime to me. I always thought that this anime is a shoujo-like anime but I was wrong. In terms of storyline, the first few episodes are very relaxing and you'll start to wonder how come Chidori's life is so peaceful even though she's the target. I don't mean to spoil the storyline but there'll be breathtaking actions involving the kidnapping of Chidori in later episodes. Not just that, the storyline keeps expanding so there'll be more action-pack episodes. I was surprised with this anime because this anime focused a lot on military strategies, making this anime a good foundation to train your decision-making ability. Even though there are terms that maybe a bit confusing at first, but it will be explained thoroughly as the storyline progressed. In order to make the terms more clearly to the viewer, it was explained bit by bit so you'll be able to digest the meaning of the terms slowly. After all of those action-pack moment, there will always be a relaxing episode for awhile and the next action-pack moment will continue in the next episode. This anime really reminds me of Vandread so if you have watched Vandread, this is another anime that you shouldn't miss. Overall, this anime isn't boring at all because it fulls with action, military and comedy making this anime a must watch.

You're welcome. It's not a good thing for me to simply just take the screencaps without crediting back the owner. If I didn't do this, I will be accused of stealing the screencaps.

Anyway, thank you for offering to help me *hugs back*
