High School of the Dead is an anime adapted from the manga. The manga is written by Daisuke Sato and Shoji Sato.
Genres: action, drama, horror, romance, thriller
Themes: fanservice, Gore, zombies
Synopsis: Takashi Komuro is a normal highschool boy, until an infection breaks out that turns people into zombie-like creatures. Along with his friends & the school nurse, they fight their way out and continue their journey to find out what exactly has happened to the world.

Don't get the wrong idea that I watch this anime because I love harem. Sadly, harem anime is the worst thing ever, maybe not really.
Now, let's head on with the storyline first. I know this is an anime and it doesn't have to be logical but the starting of the riot doesn't make sense to me at all. Why I'm saying this is because it was all calm at first and suddenly zombie war strikes a few seconds later. Maybe this is really common for zombie-type anime or movies because the epidermic just started out of the blue without even knowing the main cause behind this.
Okay, storyline-wise it looks like the typical zombie anime. What makes this anime different than any other horror anime is the existence of extra large boob girls (you know, the kind of boobs that looks like it's better than a cushion) and other type of explicit content. Now, I am not sure which one is gross - extra large boobs that looks better and comfortable than cushions or the zombies chomping innocent people.
This anime only have 13 episodes in total so I'm not sure whether the anime will have a proper ending or not. Well, this maybe one of my concern but my utter most concern is this anime is strictly not for kids. If you spot anime with extra large boob girls, this anime is definitely not for kids to watch. The funny part is watching this anime makes me feel like watching the horror version of Tenjou Tenge. If you have watched Tenjou Tenge, you know what I'm referring to.
To tell you the truth, I haven't continued watching this anime not because I'm scared of zombies. It's just that thinking that the anime is similar with Tenjou Tenge makes me feel sick (literally). If you love Tenjou Tenge, then you can tolerate with all those explicit stuffs but if you want to watch this anime only because it's a horror story, you may not like those "Tenjou Tenge" stuffs (it's a different story of you love it). I don't mind watching horror anime but not with the "Tenjou Tenge" stuffs. This anime is strictly for those who love Tenjou Tenge but would like to have a horror twist in it.
