Himitsu The Revelation is an anime adapted from the manga by Reiko Shimizu. The manga was serialized in Melody. The anime currently has 26 episodes altogether.

Genres: mystery, psychological, science fiction

Synopsis: The story takes place five decades from now, when brain scanners have been perfected to the point that the government can retrieve up to five years' worth of memories from people's minds — but only if they are dead. The investigators of the National Research Institute of Police Science's 9th Forensics Laboratory must weigh the ethical choices in the ultimate invasion of privacy as they delve into people's minds to solve crimes.

Comment: I know about MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) but who would've thought that this system can actually be used for crime investigation. Usually, this kind of anime will used a thorough analysis to find the murderer (think Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo or Detective Conan) but by using MRI system, they will be able to find the murderer based on the memory of the victims. I won't tell how the things work so that I didn't destroy your curiosity. Find out by watching this anime. If you think this anime is full of jargon and as complicated as Kindaichi Shonen no Jikembo or Detective Conan, you're wrong. This anime's storyline is easy to understand because it doesn't involved complicated analysis. Those analysis is done by using MRI system so there's no need a thorough analysis in most cases. It must be a heaven sent for the police if this system is available for real. Well, I don't want to say much about it because if I tell you more about MRI system, it will spoil the thrill. Like I said again, if you really want to know more about this system, watch this anime. Anyway, the murder presented in this anime isn't scary and gross at all so it's safe for you to watch if you don't like those blood-splattering-everywhere scene and scary death scene. In other words, people died in a normal way in this anime. Again, this is definitely a must watch especially if you love anime like Kindaichi Shonen no Jikembo and Detective Conan.
