Comment: Again, I'm watching this anime for the wrong reason - the OP for this anime is by Sid *(^____^)*. Not that I'm a huge fan of Sid but it's great to hear the visual-kei song for anime. Okay, let's put that aside. If you have read the manga before, the anime version is a lot darker than the manga version. I didn't read the manga but that what has been told to me by my friend. Storyline-wise, I'm not sure whether it's exactly like manga but I would highly suggest you to have a look at this anime as well if you're planning to just stick with the manga. If you have read the manga, it may not be hard to understand the storyline so my opinion would be based on first timer's impression like me. The first episode is a little hard to understand what happened to Ciel (the main character) and suddenly it was fast-forward to the main story. The first episode itself was a bit unclear what sort of person Sebastian is other than he's good in everything he does. So, if you never read the manga, it's hard to understand the characters in this anime. You get a clear idea that Sebastian isn't an ordinary butler in the second episode. The mystery will reveal little by little in each episode so it'll be hard to understand the whole storyline if you miss the episode. Overall, it may be hard to understand the storyline at first but you'll understand soon because they're revealing the details little by little. As far as I've seen, this anime is a great anime so it's a must watch for those who loves mystery and supernatural stuffs. Some of the scenes can be very disturbing sometimes but that's what you should expect from this kind of anime.
