Mushishi is an anime which was adapted from the manga by Yuki Urushibara which is serialized in Afternoon. The anime has 26 episodes.
Genres: adventure, drama, mystery, psychological, supernatural
Synopsis: They are neither plants nor animals. They differ from other forms of life such as the micro-organisms and the fungi. Instead they resemble the primeval body of life and are generally known as "Mushi". Their existence and appearance are unknown to many and only a limited number of humans are aware of them. Ginko is a "Mushi-shi" who travels around to investigate and find out more about the "Mushi". In the process, he also lends a helping hand to people who face problems with supernatural occurances which may be related to the "Mushi".

Comment: This is the most relaxing anime I've ever watched because the story is well, so peaceful, calm and very relaxing. You didn't feel any pressure unlike other anime so this anime truly soothing your brain. Even though it's a calm anime, it doesn't mean that it's a boring anime. The term mushi and its characteristic is very well explained so you'll understand the mushi better. Each episodes will always be about mushi and how to counteract them. Ginko's past is also well explained making it easier to understand the whole plot. If you think that this anime is action-pack, I'm sorry to say that it's not. Like I said, it's a calm, peaceful and relaxing anime so there's no vigorous and violent actions involved. Sometimes there are some disgusting things but not so much. If you want something relaxing and soothing, this anime is for you.
