SuhailiOccult Academy anime review

Occult anime is an anime known as Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin in Japanese. This anime consists 13 episodes altogether.
Genres: comedy, supernatural
Themes: ghosts, occult, 2012 prophecy
Synopsis: The Waldstein Academy is an institute devoted to studies on paranormal disciplines, thus becoming known as the Occult Academy. Maya Kumashiro returns to this place to attend the funeral of the former principal, Junichiro Kumashiro, her father. Maya, a skeptic who hates the occult, meets with Fumiaki Uchida, a time agent from the future sent to 1999 to prevent the apocalyptic Nostradamus Prophecies from happening. The predictions state that the school will be ground zero of the cataclysm that will destroy the world. They must team up to discover not only what actually led to her father's demise, they have limited time to find out what is the key that triggers the beginning of the end.

I am never a fan of occult but I must say that this anime is interesting to watch. This is because the main focus of this anime is the 2012 prophecy and it's really amusing that a lot of people imagined so many weird things will happen in 2012 like alien will come and invade the earth just like what it is said in this anime.
Okay, I'm not into the prophecy so let's talk about the storyline. I would say that the storyline is rather easy to understand so it's not a problem to grasp what is this anime is all about even with just 1 episode. However, that doesn't mean that there won't be any twist in the overall plot. There will always be the twist in the plot but that would only happen in the later episode.
It is true that this anime is focusing on occult stuffs but whenever we thought about occult, it's usually more on the superstition side but never the actual fact where this occult thingy originate from. It's really amazing that the storyline managed to relate the superstition with the fact. This maybe nothing new to those who knows occult, but for those who never seems to care about occult, this is pretty much interesting.
I'm not going to spoil the ending here but I must say that the ending may not be something you have expected. What I mean with this is it's kinda incomplete but you can actually make your own interpretation what is actually happening at the end.
Overall, this anime is absolutely a must-watch even though it's very short. at least this is another anime that I love to watch besides Shiki
