I was very happy to hear that there'll be the continuation of Ookiku Furikabutte since the last season ends in a terrible way. But then again, the second season might repeat the history again because this anime only has 13 episodes altogether unless I might have missed something.
When it comes to storyline, the storyline doesn't seem to have much different with the previous season other than some new characters that I doubt I would remember their names. It's not that their names are difficult to remember, it's just that they don't really have any distinctive characteristic that makes you remember them. In other words, the storyline is almost purely about baseball and of course, a little bit about Mihashi. Even so, Mihashi still remains the same just like in previous season. I know I shouldn't be saying this because it'll become a spoiler, but if you're wondering about his improvement, then I can say he has improved a little bit. In what way he has improved a lot, you should find out yourself.
Even though I have watched quite a few sports anime such as Eyeshield 21 and Slam Dunk, I think this anime might be the only anime that I have watched where they seem to communicate via telepathy. It's usually the conversation within themselves so you wouldn't here a normal conversation that much. It's not a bad thing actually but it can be very heavy especially if you can't seem to figure out their strategies.
Overall, this anime is only meant for those who really love baseball (which is a major sports in Japan) and also for those who have watched the previous season. I don't know why, I love sports anime but this anime doesn't have the kind of suspense like the one in Eyeshield 21. You can still watch this anime, with one condition you know what baseball is all about.
