Another shoujo anime that I'm currently watching. If you have read my previous posts about Shoujo anime, you must've thought that I won't watch shoujo anime again but yet I still never learn my lesson for watching such anime. What I really surprised about this anime is it's not the typical shoujo anime I've seen in my entire life. If you read the synopsis above and if you've watched tons of shoujo animes, then you will notice that the storyline is totally different.
Okay, let's start with the storyline first. The first episode already revealed that Kyoko was initially just like ugly duckling where she has no sense of style and she never even bothered to beautify herself until she wants to seek revenge on Sho. When I see her for the first time during the first episode, I started to wonder when she'll be transformed into a swan. I was thinking it might be during the second episode but it was actually at the end of the first episode!. You might be thinking that it was really rushing to see her transformation in the first episode, but the main point of this anime is explained very well witjhout leaving you in confusion.
I don't know whether I want to feel so pissed or excited that the anime always end with the suspense when the plot is reaching climax. It really is nice to make me feel that way but whenever I watched this anime, it always left me with asking for more. At the end of the day, watching just one episode is simply not enough. Let's just put into this way that I really am hooked with this anime and yes, my curiosity is burning strong enough to know what will happened next!
Watching this anime makes me feel like I'm not really watching shoujo anime because all of the jokes are reminding me of the typical shonen anime jokes. This anime also reminds me of Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge. It's not like Kyoko also has the same behavior like Sunako but Kyoko can also be considered as weird which I think it's not that weird, lol. The storyline can be very soapy sometimes but there are a lot of funny moments in this anime so I can say that it's a refreshing change for typical shoujo anime.
Overall, I can only say that it's worth watching this anime especially if you don't like watching shoujo anime (like me XD) because firstly, the storyline is not like the typical shoujo anime. Second, you get to understand a little bit about showbiz in Japan and third, you can learn a lot of life lessons here. So, do check out this anime because, it's worth watching it XD.
