Suzumiya Haruhi-chan no yuutsu is the comical spin-off of the hit anime, The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi.

Synopsis: A comical spin-off of the ever popular "Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" television series originally aired back in 2006 involving all the major characters in more child-like forms of their animated selves going through various spoofs of previous plot line; like Nagato and the dreaded laptop with a twist of having hentai on it. face offs with the rack of costumes that were stuffed in the corner of the club room. and dodge ball tournaments on crack.

I was thinking that this might be the continuation of the anime but it turns out to be just a spin-off. I was kinda shocked when I saw it at first. Firstly, the character design is.....of course far from what I've expected. I'm fine with everybody has this chibi-look but that's just shocking because I was expecting it'll be just like the previous anime. There is a slight change in Nagato's personality so I was thinking that it might have something to do with her other side of her personality? Probably, I guess.
This is not another thing that I expect from this anime. I know in the actual anime, the episodes are jumbled up so it doesn't show in order, making the storyline becomes random. What I'm trying to say here is the storyline is a lot more random than the storyline in The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi. This is a spoiler if you have never watched the anime before but let me just make this clear. If we refer back to the actual anime, the story focused on why Nagato (alien), Asahina (time traveler) and Koizumi (esper) are all in SOS Brigade because of Haruhi's wish. Even though the episodes don't show in the right order, but at least we know the whole storyline at the end of the day. But in the spin-off, it doesn't have a specific point.....it's just basically random stuff. Even though it's random, I don't recommend you to watch this spin-off without watching Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi first.
Besides, the anime itself is very short because this anime is broadcast on YouTube. So, you can decide what do you think about this anime within a few seconds of watching this. Personally, I'm not really fond of watching this anime because it's kinda bored me a bit. It might have something to do with my expectation about this anime but if you're looking for the continuation of the actual anime, then I guess this spin-off would probably be a waste of time for you to watch.
