Genres: action, comedy, drama, romance, supernatural

Themes: Girls with guns, Gothic Lolita, Male harem, School life, Vampires

Synopsis: Yuki's earliest memory is of a stormy night in winter, wherein she was attacked by a vampire... And then rescued by another. Now 10 years later, Yuki Cross, the adopted daughter of the headmaster of Cross Academy, has grown up and become a guardian of the vampire race, protecting her savior, Kaname, from discovery as he leads a group of vampires at the elite boarding school. But also at her side is Zero Kiryu, a childhood friend who’s hatred for the creatures that destroyed everything he held dear, is now determined never to trust them. This coexisting arrangement seems all well and good, but have the vampires truly renounced their murderous ways, or is there a darker truth behind their actions. Is Kaname's infatuation with Yuki the beginning of a forbidden romance, or is it something in her forgotten past that draws him to her. Because in this world of secrets, nothing is as it seems. And the price of misplaced trust may even be worse than death.

Comment: Again, I'm watching this because of my friend's recommendation. The storyline is a bit blurry at first so you may start to feel curious about Zero's condition and why Kaname is very drawn to Yuki. Even though, the curiosity will be answered in a later episode, I find that the storyline is rather slow. I don't really mind with the slow storyline flow but this anime makes me lost interest easily because of that. From what I see, Yuki is always gets into trouble which I find it annoying. Not just that, every vampires she encountered (including the one in the academy) will always want to suck her blood. I don't mind the idea of sucking blood because they're vampires but if it's the only thing they do, it really bores me to death. Besides that, this anime looks like it'll be filled with actions but sadly not that much. What this anime has to offer is just the shoujo-type storyline which makes me stop watching it half way (I only watched this anime until episode 8). My honest advice is avoid this anime if you don't like shoujo-type storyline.
